My name is Scott, and I am passionate about making things, leveraging wood’s natural beauty, flow, and vibe. Every piece of wood is unique, and I diligently seek slabs that provide the proper flow and vibe that integrates with and enhances the project it is going in. Rarely do I stain wood, preferring to select wood whose natural color satisfies the desired look. I love bringing out each piece of wood’s character and seeing it pop as the centerpiece wherever it goes.
The image to the left of Rebecca and I was taken at Antelope Canyon in Arizona and is untouched. The lighting, shadows, and flow of the rock are just as they were when snapping the image. Looking beyond the obvious and finding the canyon’s vibe resulted in the picture’s haunting angel wings and illumination. This perspective exemplifies my approach to each piece of wood I work with, seeing what is not evident at first glance and bringing it to life.
At the end of the day, I am simply a guy who loves to make things and work at improving his craft. In that process, I look to share what I have learned, and I hope the info will be helpful to others. There is no doubt I have benefited from other craftspeople sharing with me.
